Cascara isn’t just a byproduct of coffee it’s actually one of the oldest coffee drinks in the world especially in Yemen where it has been traditionally brewed long before espresso ever existed In Yemen, it’s known as "Qishr" and it's often brewed with ginger, cinnamon, or cardamom making it both energizing and soothing at the same time.

Even more fascinating? Cascara has about one-third the caffeine of brewed coffee, but is packed with antioxidants, and has a naturally sweet, fruity flavor somewhere between tea and coffee with hints of raisin, cherry, and hibiscus.
